The Spring Benefit Gala, “One Fair Evening,” is the school’s largest musical, social and fundraising event of the year. The May 17th program features performances by the student choruses and orchestra, the community chorus, as well as our signature silent auction, a live auction, delicious sweet and savory treats designed by Rustic Roots Cafe, and a cash bar. This year’s concert is an all Dvořák theme, including selections from the Mass in D Major dedicated in loving memory to Joshua Nolan Moore.
Doors open at 5pm, to enjoy the silent auction and fantastic hors d’oeuvres. The concert will begin at 6:30 and run for approximately one hour. After the concert the party continues until 10:00pm. The Live Auction will take place at 8:30pm.
For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit the benefit website.

Summer doesn’t have to feel like a whirlwind! Often, families feel compelled to fill those long summer days with more fun, more activities and even more commitments. You can do less, though, and find more time to connect with your children. Come learn about simplifying summer and finding ways to joyfully balance relaxation, creativity and activity. We’ll look at daily rhythms, and a variety of age-appropriate games and activities.
Anne Shapiro, Simplicity Parenting coach, Waldorf class teacher, Creative Tuesdays volunteer and mother of three adult children, will present fresh strategies for making this summer your simplest and best ever!
