  • Lake Champlain Waldorf School (LCWS), an independent, coeducational day school, was founded in 1984 and incorporated as a non-profit in 1986.
  • Over 265 students are enrolled (Pre-K through 12th grade), served by 36 full-time and 8 part-time faculty and staff members.
  • LCWS is governed by a Governance Council, the College of Teachers and Staff, and a Board of Trustees.
  • LCWS is approved as an Independent School by the State of Vermont
  • LCWS is a full member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN).
  • Additional programs include Infant & Toddler, Kindergarten Aftercare, Summer Camp, after-school sports, and a variety of clubs.
  • The Turtle Lane Campus houses the Early Childhood and Grade School programs, gardens, playing fields and woods on a 22-acre nature preserve. Each grade has its own classroom, and the building provides additional rooms for handwork, eurythmy, community functions and gym, and tutoring.
  • The High School Campus houses the woodworking shop, an art studio, computer lab, science labs, textile room, a common room, and a professional kitchen area.
