Syria has come and gone from the hope and promise of the Arab Spring in 2011 to the despair and devastation of the current civil war. LCWS High School students and Wake Robin residents will come together to examine the Syria situation.

This presentation will explore the complicated reality of life in present-day Syria, drawing on first-hand testimonies from opposition fighters, exiles lost in an archilpelago of refugee camps, and courageous human rights activists as well as their own experiences.
