The first act presents three short Yeats plays with live Irish music. After intermission, the cast and audience will move into a studio space to enjoy a raucous cabaret featuring short pieces by Christopher Durang and delicious sweet and savory refreshments. The play has some mature content and is recommended for high school age and older.
Tickets: $5.00

About the Yeats plays: The three short Yeats plays comprise the first act, and are done with music. “Dreaming of the Bones” explores themes of forgiveness when an Irish rebel escaping from the British encounters the ghosts of the couple who first invited the English into Ireland. “Land of Heart’s Desire” traces the temptation of a newly-married bride to leave her parents-in-law and husband and go off with the faeries. Finally, “At Hawk’s Well” presents us with an old man who has spent his life waiting at a magical spring where the infrequently flowing water confers immortality.
