Our school was founded in 1984, is a full member of AWSNA, serves students from Pre- Kindergarten through Grade 12, is approved by the State of Vermont Department of Education and is well established. We currently serve 269 students. Our community is vibrant and engaging. We have 38 salaried members of our Faculty-Staff, the majority of whom have been employed at our school for many years.

Our Grade School and Kindergarten are located in Shelburne, Vermont, and our high school is located in Charlotte, Vermont (about six miles away). This area is a wonderful place to live and raise children. It is beautiful, with the Green Mountains to the East and Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks to the West. Shelburne is approximately 7 miles south of Burlington, Vermont. The area has a major University, several colleges, and is a cultural and artistic center.

Class Teacher, 2nd Grade

The Lake Champlain Waldorf School is accepting applications for a Grade Two Class Teacher for the 2010-11 school year. We are seeking a dynamic teacher who has completed the Waldorf Teacher Training and has experience as a Waldorf class teacher, preferably in the lower grades.
The current First Grade class has 28 students who have been taught beautifully by the same teacher who will fully prepare the class for Grade Two. The teacher is leaving solely for personal reasons. Since the class is large, we will provide an assistant for Main Lessons if that would be supportive to the class teacher.

We are in the second year of an exciting Upper Grades program for grades Seven through Ten. The program includes collaborative teaching, a relevant curriculum that engages the students in practical arts that enliven the academic studies, and a schedule that meets the developmental needs of the students.

We are seeking a dynamic teacher who has completed the Waldorf Teacher Training, has experience as a Waldorf Foreign Language teacher and a love for the German language and culture.
