Come one, come all! Here are details about the Lake Champlain Waldorf School Holiday Fair! Activities, vendors, schedule.

Friday Night: Artisan Market, 6:30-9:00 pm

Friday night is for adults and older teens. All the vendors will be there (and some are only there on Friday), and our student crafters will have tables. Please come hungry! We will have café offerings of local beef burgers from New Village Farm, veggie burgers, hot dogs, sweet and savory crêpes, and desserts. There will be live music, courtesy of the No-Fret Quartet, with musicians from the 9th grade.

Saturday: Family Fair, 10:00-3:00pm

Bring your family early because you’ll want to stay the whole day!

“The Red Sheep”

Performed by LCWS teachers. Kindergarten; 1 ticket.

African Drumming

with Mashobane Moruthane. Community Room; free. 2:30-3:00

Angel Room, Open to all children, all grades

The Angel Room is a magical place for children to pick out handmade items to give to their friends and family. Older students in grades 6 and above are invited to come…just wait until later in the day, from 2:00-3:00.

Artisan Market

Over 50 vendors, including yearly favorites and new artisans. Look for vendors in the eurythmy room, 3rd, 4th & 5th grade classrooms, and in the hallway.

Artisan Raffle

Vendors have generously donated items for the school’s raffle. Buy a ticket for $1; $5 gets you 6 tickets. Drawing at 2:00. (hallway)

Craft Making

Lovely and fun projects for children to make: felt ornaments, twig trees, cranberry wreaths, felt garlands. 1 to 3 tickets (7th grade classroom)

Costume “Photobooth”

Choose a costume and have your photo taken! 2 tickets (Hallway Office)

Crepes

12th grade students will be making delicious dessert crêpes on Friday evening and all day Saturday. (2nd grade classroom)

Crystal Cave of the Snow Queen

Enchantment for young children; visit the beautiful cave to meet the Snow Queen who will tell a tale and present a treasure. (Kindergarten)

Face Painting

Beautiful, simple face painting designs for all ages. 1 to 3 tickets (2nd grade)
Jump Rope Making
Make your own jump rope out of colorful yarn, using a traditional rope making machine. 5 tickets (2nd grade classroom)

Musical Cake and Cookie Game

The winner gets to choose a fancy cake; play 4 times and you get a consolation cake. Every player gets a home made cookie, making this game sweet for all. 4 tickets. (8th grade classroom)

Open Play for Young Children

Opens his kindergarten room, welcoming children to play; parent supervision required. Free.

Pocket Lady

Wandering throughout the Fair, with pockets full of tiny treats. 1 ticket.

Holiday Café and Grill

We are delighted to announce that almost all the Café food will be organic and locally sourced! Many thanks to the Forrest & Frances Lattner Foundation, and generous local businesses, for helping to make this happen…and to the 8th and 12th grade families for cooking up fantastic food! Enjoy soups, salads, pasta, chili, bagels, home made bread and rolls, desserts, cider, and more. (Saturday 11:00-2:00) The Café Grill will serve the classic hot dogs, burgers, and cheesburgers (local meat from New Village Farm), desserts, savory treats, coffee, & tea. (hallway and outside the 8th grade classroom, Friday and Saturday).
