We are delighted to announce that we have new faculty joining us for the 2013-14 school year, and new roles for some of our current faculty members.
Elena Baba will join our faculty as a full time eurythmy teacher. Elena has twenty years of experience teaching in Waldorf schools. She is coming to us from the Chicago Waldorf School where she taught eurythmy for the past five years.
Christopher Ramos, who is our high school woodworking teacher, will expand his role to teach our entire woodworking program, grades 5 through 12.
Tyler Macdonald will join our high school faculty as an Assistant Athletic Director and movement teacher. Tyler has completed the Spacial Dynamics training program, and has been coaching our high school teams.
Shari Carlson, who has been a member of our early childhood faculty for many years, will be teaching the early childhood aftercare program every day, and assisting part-time in JoAnne’s kindergarten.
Lindsay Laird, who has been interning in JoAnne’s kindergarten this past school year, will be assisting in JoAnne’s kindergarten and will also be teaching the early childhood aftercare program Mondays through Wednesdays for the 2013-14 school year.
Tai Dinnan, who has had years of experience teaching young children and working in gardening and food programs, will be teaching the early childhood aftercare program five days a week, and directing our new “Woodland” extended day program, which runs from 3:00 to 5:30 five days a week.
Danielle Proudman, who has years of experience working with young children, will be assisting in Karen’s kindergarten and in our “Woodland” extended day program.
Abigail Diehl-Noble will be an Upper Grades “Third Teacher” for the 2013-14 school year. In addition, Abigail will teach 6th grade English, continue her excellent work in the Enrollment office, and possibly teach a high school block.
Nicandra Galper will be the Grade School Coordinator, will also teach in the Upper Grades program, and will continue her work assisting in the handwork program.
Laura Slesar, our Front Desk Administrator at the high school, will be the Class Sponsor fot he incoming 9th grade.
