Ms. Laird is a practicing artist and founder of Dreaming Star Studio. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S in Art Education. Emily taught art in public schools for several years and came to LCWS through her first child’s experience of Morning Garden. Emily completed Foundation Studies and Art Intensives at the Center for Anthroposophy and The Alkion Center. She began teaching Fine Arts at LCWS to the pioneer high school class as juniors in 2003 and has thoroughly enjoyed her work with all the students and faculty over the years. Emily lives in a house the color of the twilight sky with her musician husband, John Creech, and their animal companions. Together they enjoy visits from their adult children Oliver (Class of 2014), Annabelle, (Class of 2019) and John's older daughters' families and six grandsons.
