Emily spent her childhood in Maine and Vermont. After completing a bachelors in art and psychology from the University of Vermont she traveled and worked in higher education for several years. Eventually, she felt called to bring her love for creativity, healing, and nature-based practices to children, which led to obtaining a masters in education focusing on special education and art education. She has taught in a variety of settings from public, private, homeschool, forest schools, and more. Emily lives with her partner and their two children in Hinesburg, Vermont.
