Sarah Maika
Lower School Handwork Teacher
she/her
Sarah Maika is an LCWS lifer and faculty child who graduated from our high school in 2007. She got her degree in American Studies and Fine Art at Smith College before doing her Waldorf teacher training at Antioch New England. She then became a class teacher at the Orchard Valley Waldorf School in East Montpelier. She and her Hawaiian husband moved to Honolulu, where she was a class and handwork teacher at the Honolulu Waldorf School for seven years. She is thrilled to be back home in Vermont in her original Waldorf community as the lower grades handwork teacher.
In her free time, Ms. Maika loves to make things. She is a sewer, knitter, gardener, pickler, and member of the local singing and performance group Social Band. She loves to make art and curate her vast and ever growing earring collection.
