Woman with her four children

Welcome from the Head of School

As a former student and current parent of Lake Champlain Waldorf School, it is my pleasure to welcome you as you consider our school for your children.

What makes LCWS unique is our culture of innovation. We are proud to weave a rich, experiential Waldorf pedagogy with cutting-edge, evidence-based instructional practices to create a holistic curriculum that meets our students at each developmental stage and helps them grow into the people they are meant to be.

Our inclusive and student-centered educational environment sets the tone for learning. Our teachers work from a place of deep relationship with students and families, meaning that each student is known and celebrated and the connection between home and school is prioritized throughout their education. With this emphasis on belonging, creative expression, and communal flourishing, students are able to confidently explore our rich curriculum and make connections between subjects and areas of interest. We give our students time to reflect on the content they are learning while also providing them the space to play and engage directly with the world around them. By the end of high school, our graduates are confident in who they are, passionate about the gifts they bring to the community, and ready to make the world a better place.
